9/11 truther
Skeptic of officials
A 9/11 truther is someone who rejects the official account of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and believes the U.S. government either orchestrated or deliberately allowed them to happen.
Truthers embrace various conspiracy theories—controlled demolition of the towers, foreknowledge by intelligence agencies, or claims that no plane hit the Pentagon.
The label is usually applied dismissively by outsiders: My uncle went down the rabbit hole and became a full-blown 9/11 truther.
