wind guard
Shields from gusts
A wind guard is a barrier that blocks or deflects wind.
The term applies to various protective devices: a shield around a camping stove flame, a screen protecting a candle or lighter, or a panel mounted on outdoor equipment.
Some jackets feature wind guards—fabric flaps covering zippers to prevent drafts.
The wind guard kept the burner lit in the breeze.
