whole-grain bread
Bran-inclusive baked staple
Whole-grain bread is bread made from flour that contains the entire grain kernel—the bran, germ, and endosperm—rather than refined flour with only the starchy endosperm.
This gives the bread more fiber, nutrients, and a denser, heartier texture than white bread.
Labels can be misleading: bread that looks brown or says "wheat bread" may still be made primarily from refined flour.
I switched to whole-grain bread for the extra fiber.
