whatsername
Her name slipped
Whatsername is a placeholder for a woman's name you can't recall or don't care to specify: I ran into whatsername from accounting.
It functions like a pronoun, filling in where a forgotten name should go.
The male equivalent is whatshisname.
Both suggest the person is either momentarily forgotten or not important enough to remember precisely.
