weaponising
Turning into armament
Weaponising is the British spelling of weaponizing—turning something into a weapon or using it as one.
The term applies literally to military development weaponising drones but more often appears figuratively: weaponising information, weaponising social media, weaponising the justice system.
The implication is that something neutral or benign has been converted into a tool for attack or coercion.
