visionary leaders

Visionary leaders are people who guide organizations or movements with a compelling sense of future possibility.

The phrase implies someone who sees beyond current circumstances to what could be, inspiring others toward that vision: The company needs visionary leaders, not managers who just maintain the status quo.

Often used admiringly, though sometimes ironically for those whose grand ideas lack practical grounding.
