viewer discretion
Content advisory phrase
Viewer discretion is a warning that content may be disturbing, offensive, or inappropriate for some audiences.
The phrase typically appears before television programs or videos containing violence, sexual content, or mature themes: Viewer discretion is advised.
It shifts responsibility to the viewer—you've been warned, so proceed at your own judgment.
