upmix
Add audio channels
Upmix refers to the process of converting audio with fewer channels into audio with more channels—typically stereo into surround sound.
Home theater systems and audio software upmix two-channel recordings to fill five or seven speakers: The receiver upmixes stereo music to 5.1 surround.
The opposite process is downmix.
