unweaned
Not yet independent
Unweaned describes a young mammal still nursing from its mother, not yet transitioned to solid food.
The term applies to infants of any species during the period of dependency on mother's milk: an unweaned calf, unweaned puppies.
Figuratively, unweaned can suggest someone not yet independent or still attached to early influences.
