unmelodic
Lacking musical quality
Unmelodic describes sounds or music lacking melody—harsh, discordant, or tuneless.
An unmelodic voice grates rather than pleases.
The word applies to compositions that deliberately avoid conventional melody: The piece was aggressively unmelodic, all jagged rhythms and atonal clusters.
Sometimes used more loosely to mean simply unpleasant to hear.
