pitchy
Slightly out of tune
Pitchy describes something resembling or containing pitch—the dark, sticky substance derived from tar or resin: pitchy darkness, a pitchy residue.
In music, pitchy means having inaccurate pitch, singing or playing slightly sharp or flat: Her performance was a little pitchy in the high notes.
The musical sense gained currency through talent competition shows.
