union organizers
Workplace collective builders
Union organizers are people who work to establish or strengthen labor unions in workplaces.
They recruit workers, build support for collective bargaining, and coordinate campaigns for union recognition.
The term applies both to professional organizers employed by existing unions and to workers who lead organizing efforts at their own jobs: Union organizers talked to employees in the parking lot after shifts.
