ungrouping
Dissolving a cluster
Ungrouping is the act of separating items that were previously combined into a group.
The term appears most often in design and graphics software, where objects can be grouped to move or edit together, then ungrouped to manipulate individually: After ungrouping the layers, she adjusted each element separately.
The word applies wherever bundled things are separated back into components.
