underwater pipelines
Seabed fluid transport
Underwater pipelines are tubes laid on or beneath the seafloor to transport oil, natural gas, or other substances across bodies of water.
They connect offshore drilling platforms to shore facilities or link landmasses separated by water: The underwater pipeline runs from the rig to the refinery twenty miles inland.
Also called subsea pipelines.
