underthought

Not examined enough

Underthought describes something that hasn't received enough consideration or planning: The proposal was underthought and full of holes.

It's the opposite of overthought—where excessive analysis causes problems, underthought means insufficient analysis did.

The word sometimes appears as a noun meaning a subordinate or underlying thought, but the adjective sense dominates modern usage.
