underblankets
Bedding under sheets
Underblankets are blankets placed beneath a sleeper rather than on top—either under the bottom sheet for extra warmth or padding, or between the mattress and its cover.
The term is less common than its counterpart overblankets, since most blankets go on top by default.
She added an underblanket to the guest bed for the winter months.
