undeleting
Bringing back erased
Undeleting is the act of restoring something that was previously deleted—recovering a file from the trash, reinstating a removed comment, or bringing back erased data: I spent an hour undeleting photos I'd accidentally trashed.
The term assumes deletion isn't always permanent and that recovery is possible through software tools or system features.
