typing tests
Keyboard proficiency exams
Typing tests measure how quickly and accurately a person can type, typically reporting results in words per minute (WPM) along with an error rate.
They range from formal assessments for employment screening to casual online games where people compete for speed: I practiced typing tests until I hit 80 WPM.
The tests usually involve reproducing displayed text within a time limit.
