tubbing
Taking a bath
Tubbing is the act of bathing in a tub, or more specifically, lining a mine shaft or well with wooden or metal rings to prevent collapse and keep out water.
In mining contexts, tubbing refers to the cylindrical segments used for this reinforcement: The tubbing held back the groundwater.
Informally, tubbing can mean soaking in a hot tub: We spent the evening tubbing on the deck.
