trunkless

Lacking a body

Trunkless means lacking a trunk—most often describing a statue or body without its torso, as in Shelley's famous line about Ozymandias: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone stand in the desert.

The word can also describe a tree without its main stem, or an elephant without its proboscis, though these uses are rare.
