trigger fingers
Gun-pulling index phalanges
Trigger fingers are the fingers used to pull a gun's trigger—typically the index finger.
The phrase often appears in contexts suggesting readiness to shoot or a tendency toward quick, aggressive action: The deputies had itchy trigger fingers.
In medicine, trigger finger is a condition where a finger catches or locks when bent.
