tranches
Slices of funding
Tranches are portions or installments of something larger, especially in finance.
A loan may be disbursed in tranches, or an investment divided into tranches with different risk levels: The first tranche of funding was released in March.
From French for "slice," the term appears almost exclusively in financial and legal contexts.
