top notes
Initial fragrance impressions
Top notes are the first scents you smell when applying a perfume or fragrance, the light, volatile compounds that evaporate quickly and create an initial impression.
They typically fade within fifteen minutes to an hour, giving way to the heart notes and base notes beneath.
The top notes are citrus and bergamot, but it dries down to something warmer.
