timed events
Races against clocks
Timed events are competitions or activities where performance is measured against the clock rather than judged subjectively or scored by points.
In sports like swimming, track, and skiing, athletes compete in timed events where fastest wins: She qualified for the finals in three timed events.
Video games use timed events for challenges that must be completed before a countdown expires.
