timber yards
Lumber storage facilities
Timber yards are commercial establishments where lumber is stored, processed, and sold.
The term is more common in British English, where Americans would typically say lumberyard.
Contractors and builders visit timber yards to purchase wood for construction projects: We picked up the framing lumber at the timber yard.
