tiki-taka
Short passing philosophy
Tiki-taka is a style of football (soccer) characterized by short, quick passes, constant movement, and maintaining possession rather than direct attacking play.
The term, which mimics the sound of the ball being passed rapidly between players, became widely associated with the Spanish national team and FC Barcelona during their dominant period in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
Their tiki-taka kept the opposition chasing shadows for most of the match.
