Multi-brightness light source
A three-way bulb is a light bulb with two filaments that can operate at three different brightness levels—either filament alone or both together.
It requires a three-way socket with a special switch that cycles through the settings: The lamp has a three-way bulb, so you can adjust it from reading light to ambient glow.
