three-point turn
Back-and-forth reversal
A three-point turn is a method of reversing a vehicle's direction on a narrow road where a U-turn isn't possible.
The driver steers toward one curb, reverses toward the opposite curb, then drives forward in the new direction—three distinct movements forming a Y-shaped path.
She executed a three-point turn on the dead-end street.
