tetched

Not quite right

Tetched means slightly crazy or mentally off—not dangerously so, but noticeably eccentric or touched in the head.

The word is dialectal, found mainly in Appalachian and Southern American speech: Old Emmett's a little tetched, but harmless.

It's a variant of "touched," as in touched by something that addled the mind.
