tamper-evident seal
Shows unauthorized access
A tamper-evident seal is a closure or packaging feature designed to show visible signs if someone has opened or interfered with a product.
Medicine bottles, food containers, and shipping packages use them to reveal unauthorized access: The tamper-evident seal was broken, so I didn't take the pills.
The seal doesn't prevent tampering—it only makes tampering detectable.
