stretch goal
Beyond-minimum funding aim
A stretch goal is a target set beyond the primary objective, pursued only after the main goal is achieved.
Crowdfunding campaigns commonly use stretch goals to unlock additional features or rewards if funding exceeds the original ask: If we hit $50,000, our stretch goal is a hardcover edition.
In project management, stretch goals push teams beyond comfortable expectations.
