Straight-armed describes having the arm fully extended without bend at the elbow.
In sports, a straight-armed tackle or stiff-arm pushes an opponent away with the arm locked: He straight-armed the defender and broke free.
The term also describes any action performed with unbent arms: a straight-armed salute, straight-armed pushups.
