storm giant
Lightning-wielding behemoth
Storm giants are among the most powerful giants in fantasy role-playing games, particularly Dungeons & Dragons, where they occupy the highest rank in the giant social hierarchy called the ordning.
They command weather and lightning, typically dwell in cloud castles or underwater palaces, and are portrayed as wise and reclusive rather than brutish.
The party knew they were outmatched when the storm giant emerged from the thunderclouds.
