step-aunt
Parent's stepsister, informally
A step-aunt is the wife of one's parent's stepbrother, or the stepsister of one's parent.
The term describes an aunt-like relationship created through marriage or remarriage rather than blood: My step-aunt came into the family when Grandma remarried.
Like other step- relations, the bond varies from close to nominal depending on circumstances.
