steel drum player
Calypso rhythm maker
A steel drum player is a musician who performs on steel drums—tuned percussion instruments made from oil barrels, originating in Trinidad and Tobago.
The instruments produce bright, melodic tones associated with Caribbean music, particularly calypso and soca: The steel drum player led the band through the streets during Carnival.
