stage dives
Concert trust falls
Stage dives are leaps from a concert stage into the crowd below, with the performer trusting the audience to catch them.
The practice emerged from punk and hardcore scenes and remains common at high-energy rock shows: The singer's stage dives got more reckless as the tour went on.
Security personnel often discourage them due to injury risk.
