speakeasy bar
Secret liquor establishment
A speakeasy bar is a drinking establishment styled after the illicit saloons of American Prohibition (1920–1933), typically featuring hidden entrances, dim lighting, and vintage cocktails.
Modern speakeasies trade on the appeal of secrecy and exclusivity: The speakeasy bar is behind an unmarked door in the back of a barbershop.
The "bar" is often redundant, since speakeasy alone conveys the concept.
