Spawn camping is a video game tactic where a player waits near an opponent's spawn point—the location where characters reappear after dying—to kill them immediately upon respawning.
The practice is widely considered cheap or unsportsmanlike, as it denies opponents any chance to orient themselves or fight back: Their whole team was spawn camping us.
Some games implement countermeasures like temporary invincibility to discourage it.
