snake handler
Works with serpents
A snake handler is someone who works with snakes professionally—at zoos, in wildlife management, or for venom extraction.
The term also refers specifically to members of certain Pentecostal Christian sects, mainly in Appalachia, who handle venomous snakes during worship services as a test of faith, based on a passage in the Gospel of Mark.
