sky burials
Carrion birds feast
Sky burials are a funerary practice in which a corpse is placed on a mountaintop or elevated platform to be consumed by vultures and other scavengers.
The practice is traditional in Tibet and some other Buddhist and Zoroastrian communities, where returning the body to nature is considered spiritually meaningful.
The documentary showed a sky burial on a Tibetan hillside.
