shoulder MRI
Rotator cuff scan
A shoulder MRI is a magnetic resonance imaging scan of the shoulder joint, used to diagnose injuries to soft tissues like the rotator cuff, labrum, and surrounding ligaments.
Unlike X-rays, MRIs reveal tears, inflammation, and cartilage damage: The shoulder MRI showed a partial rotator cuff tear.
Often ordered when pain persists despite initial treatment.
