shift keys
Letter case changers
Shift keys are the keys on a keyboard that modify other keystrokes, typically producing uppercase letters or alternate characters.
Most keyboards have two, one on each side, allowing either hand to reach one while the other types.
The term comes from typewriters, where pressing shift physically shifted the mechanism to strike a different part of the type slug.
Hold shift and press a letter to capitalize it.
