sevin
Garden pest killer
Sevin is a brand name for carbaryl, a widely used insecticide.
Gardeners and farmers apply it to control pests on vegetables, fruits, and ornamental plants: I dusted the tomatoes with Sevin to kill the aphids.
It's effective against a broad range of insects but toxic to bees and aquatic life.
