self-isolate
Stay home alone
To self-isolate is to voluntarily separate yourself from others, typically to prevent spreading or contracting illness.
The term gained widespread use during the COVID-19 pandemic: I tested positive, so I'm self-isolating for five days.
It can also describe withdrawing from social contact generally: After the breakup, she self-isolated for weeks.
