seeing-eye dogs
Canine vision aids
Seeing-eye dogs are guide dogs trained to assist blind or visually impaired people, leading them around obstacles and through traffic.
The term comes from The Seeing Eye, a pioneering American training organization founded in 1929, though it now applies broadly to any guide dog: She's had three seeing-eye dogs over the years.
