see out

Stay until done

See out means to accompany someone to an exit, typically as a courtesy when they're leaving your home or office: I'll see you out.

It also means to continue with something until it reaches its natural end, especially when commitment or endurance is required: She was determined to see out her contract despite the difficulties.

In British usage, to see out the year or see out one's days means to survive or last until that time has passed.
