seawards
Away from shore
Seawards means toward the sea, in the direction of the ocean: The river flowed seawards through the estuary.
More common in British English; Americans typically prefer seaward.
Both forms work as adverbs, though seaward also serves as an adjective: the seaward side of the dunes.
