savants
Deeply knowledgeable people
Savants are people of profound learning or expertise in a particular field.
The term often appears in idiot savant, now usually savant syndrome—a condition where someone with cognitive limitations displays exceptional ability in a narrow domain like music, math, or memory.
Outside clinical contexts, savant can simply mean a learned person or scholar.
