round trip time
Signal return duration
Round trip time is the duration for a signal to travel from source to destination and back again.
In networking, it measures the milliseconds between sending a packet and receiving its acknowledgment: The server's round trip time was under 50ms.
Lower values mean faster, more responsive connections.
Often abbreviated RTT.
