rod holders
Fishing gear mounts
Rod holders are devices designed to secure fishing rods in place, freeing up the angler's hands while waiting for a bite or while the boat is in motion.
They come in various styles—flush-mounted into a boat's gunwale, clamped to a rail, or attached to a fishing belt worn around the waist.
I installed four rod holders along the stern so we could troll multiple lines at once.
Beyond fishing boats, rod holders appear on kayaks, docks, and ice fishing shelters.
